Lady Du announces that her label will be developing ladies only

South African musician Lady Du has built herself a mini empire and is now embarking on a mission to help more hardworking female artists do the same. Taking to Instagram, the singer and DJ announced that she will be welcoming only women to work with her in under her record label to ensure that female artists in the country get the start and recognition that they deserved.

While many women applauded her the initiative, a few men felt left out and made this known.

Local musician Lady Du is always sharing inspirational posts online and giving her followers some great advice.

She has taken her goal to inspire others others a big step further and just announced that she will be signing females only to her label to ensure that young women artists are given the chance to grow  in South Africa.

“My company turns 10 years next year because it will be fully matured I will be working and developing Girls only. I feel like females go through so much; I won’t be signing people I don’t believe in giving people fish. I buy equipment for them to fish.”

She adds that she wants women to own their own labels and not always count on sponsorship while encouraging women to chase their dreams fearlessly.

“Right now, I’m building as much as I can to make sure they don’t have to look anywhere for sponsorship unless it’s branding for a party!!!! We don’t sign to labels!!!!! We are the labels “We push ownership, we push independence. No one can do better for you than you can do for yourself!!!!! If they see it in you it means you can run after it till you find it STAY WOKE!!!! Don’t be a slave of your own dreams .”
