Kelly Khumalo has clapped back at those behind a viral video of children singing about her “murdering” boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa, claiming they are “damaging” the future generation.

The singer was the target of the malicious video in which a group of schoolchildren use vulgar language to describe the sequence of events.

Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead on 26 October 2014 in Vosloorus, whilst in the company of Kelly Khumalo and a group of their friends and family.

KELLY KHUMALO SHARES DISDAIN OVER SCHOOLCHILDREN’S SONG

In the clip, a group of children – who appear under the age of 10 years old – sing a “war cry” song targeting Kelly.

The young learners sing in isiZulu: “I hate Kelly Khumalo. She is a Johannesburg b**ch who murdered Senzo Meyiwa”.

The children are from an identified school. It’s unclear if a teacher or a fellow pupil is recording the scene.

Seemingly responding to the video, Kelly Khumalo shared a clip of her own daughter reading a book – something she hinted children should rather be focused on.

She captioned the clip in isiZulu, which can be translated to: “You say you are destroying me. But you are destroying the future of your children”.

Kelly’s manager Kgothatso Tsotetsi also weighed in on the disturbing clip. He told Daily Sun: “This is nothing to do with Kelly Khumalo, but an educational issue.

“It shows the level of maturity that teachers invent to these kids. I’m sure even their parents are not aware that these kids are uttering such words in class. The department is the problem here”.

DEPARTMENT TO PROBE VIDEO

Meanwhile, the department of basic education has vowed to investigate those behind the video.

Speaking to the publication, spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga said: “It is indeed disappointing.

“The details are yet to be established and the matter is under investigation”.
