Recent reports reveal that US rapper Kanye West has been uninvited from the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony after he spewed racial slurs at South African-born comedian Trevor Noah. Kanye – who legally changed his name to Ye – attacked Trevor after he shared his views on the rapper’s actions towards his estranged wife Kim Kardashian and her new partner Pete Davidson in a segment on The Daily Show.

No Grammys for Kanye following Trevor Noah attack

The chickens are seemingly coming home for Jesus Walks rapper Kanye West who has reportedly been uninvited from the Grammy Awards ceremony which will be taking place in early April this year.

An insider told The Blast Kanye was “pulled” from the Grammys due to his “concerning online behaviour”. According to IOL, the news was confirmed by one of the rapper’s representatives who said “this is confirmed.”

On Wednesday last week, Kanye took to Instagram where he called Trevor a “c**n” while ridiculing the Daily Show host who shared his thoughts on Kanye’s alarming behaviour toward his estranged reality TV star wife Kim Kardashian.

“I’ll be honest with you — what I see from the situation is a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything.

“You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous, because she appropriates Black culture … but what she’s going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave,” said Trevor.

Kanye was subsequently banned from the app for a day and could not post, write comments or send direct messages.

Noah reaches out

Despite Kanye’s actions, Trevor Noah went on to say that he has always been a big fan of Kanye’s and doesn’t want to shame him but rather wants him to get help.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, the comedian wrote that he didn’t want Kanye to be cancelled but rather to be counselled.

“I said, counsel Kanye. Not cancel Kanye,” he wrote in his tweet.
