‘Delusional and pathetic’: Jackie Phamotse SLAMS white farmer

Jackie Phamotse accused a farmer of ‘stealing from black people’ after the farmer said farming is ‘part of Afrikaners’ cultural identity’.

South African author Jackie Phamotse has stirred up a big debate on Twitter after calling a young farmer out for “stealing from black people”. This after the young woman shared a post of herself posing beside a couple of cows while explaining in her caption how farming is a fundamental part of an Afrikaner’s identity.

Many people flocked to the comment section to either agree with Jackie or slam her for what they are calling the spread of misinformation.

Jackie Phamotse in the midst of debate after calling farmer out

Jackie Phamotse — famously known for her book Bare Blessers Game — is quite opinionated.

Her controversial views are known to ruffle feathers but this doesn’t appear to bother her.

The author has once again upset hundreds of people after calling out a white female farmer on Twitter.

According to Jackie, the Young white Afrikaaner farmer is “delusional” for claiming that farming and working

The young woman posted a photo of herself and some cows which she captioned, “ Farming is a fundamental part of Afrikaners’ cultural identity. Our footsteps in South Africa date back to 1652 and ever since our love to farm God’s land kept growing. That is why they call us the Boer (farmer). #Afrikaner #Boer #SouthAfrica”

Jackie obviously couldn’t agree less and responded:

“Stealing from black people and claiming their land and resources as your “cultural identity” is wild! Delusional and pathetic.”

Tweeps are divided

People in the comment section were clearly split between agreeing with Jackie and calling her out.

“Please show what land these people stole. And be specific. You have now accused them of such. You forget that many people have bought land before and after apartheid. I am waiting for your response,” wrote one person while another said:

“True. Those ships in 1652 had no livestock in them. So this culture was developed after the dispossession of black farmers of their land and livestock.”
