There has been an ongoing shower debate across Hollywood over the last month after That 70’s Show stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis revealed that they waited for their kids to be visibly dirty before giving them a bath.
ASHTON AND MILA SHOWER DEBATE UPDATE
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis had tongues wagging across the world when they admitted to only bathing their kids when they could see dirt on them in an interview with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s podcast, Armchair Expert on 19 July. The couple also revealed that they do not shower daily.
Mila Kunis said she did not have hot water growing up so she didn’t shower much anyway while Ashton Kutcher said he only washes his armpits and crotch area and “nothing else ever”.
The couple’s revelations sent shock waves across the globe and in response to the disgust from fans, they have just laughed it off. The couple updated the world on their kids bath routine in a video posted to Ashton Kutcher’s Instagram. The couple are seen cracking jokes while giving their kids a bath.
“You’re putting water on the children?” Kutcher asked Kunis jokingly. “Are you trying to melt them? Are you trying to injure them with water? This is ridiculous. What’s going on?” he continued.
“We’re bathing our children,” replied Kunis.
“That’s like the fourth time this week. Their body oils are going to be destroyed,” responded Kutcher.
CARDI B: ‘IT’S GIVING ITCHY’
The couple’s confession sparked a shower debate amongst celebrities who weighed in with their thoughts. While Kirsten Bell and her husband Dax Shepard side with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher saying they wait for the “stink” before giving their kids a bath, Cardi B said the whole situation of people not showering daily is “giving itchy” in a tweet.
Aquaman star Jason Mamoa also confirmed that he showers daily, while former wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showers about three times a day. Rihanna joined on the debate as well, with a more subtle approach. She posted a montage of celebrities and fans saying she smells so good.
She captioned the post “just sayin’”.
COCO AUSTIN DOES NOT SHOWER DAILY
Joining Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Kirsten Bell and Dax Shapard is Ice T’s wife Coco Austin who recently received backlash on social media for breastfeeding her almost six-year-old daughter, Chanel. Coco Austin revealed that she does not shower daily in an interview on E!’s Daily Pop.
“Well I don’t shower everyday, I do when I need it, my hair, I wash my hair every four days, but when I’m feeling icky, I’ll get in the shower, whether that is every day, that it could be or it could be every three days,” said Coco Austin.
