Despite Mike Tyson’s recent medical emergency, Jake Paul is set to face off against the boxing legend in a fight. The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer took to social media on Monday to slam rumours of a cancellation.

“You love to make s–t up before knowing the facts for clicks/likes. Nothing changed #PaulTyson,” Paul wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The controversy erupted after news broke that the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion experienced a health scare.

Tyson reportedly became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up while flying from Miami to Los Angeles over the weekend.

According to his representative, the incident occurred about 30 minutes before landing, according to Page Six.

“He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him,” the rep stated. The rep also added that Tyson is now “doing great.”

Despite this unsettling episode, Tyson remains committed to the fight.

At a press conference earlier this month, he called the match a “no-brainer.”

Tyson explained, “He’s the new up-and-coming guy on the scene.

I like shaking the sports world to its core, and I’m doing that now. It’s just something I want to do.”

Scheduled for 20 July at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the match will be broadcast live on Netflix, according to Daily Mail.

Both fighters have been hyping the event, promising an unforgettable showdown.

Paul, who boasts a 9-1 record, declared it “quite literally the biggest fight of the 21st century.”

Paul is not short on confidence.

“I’m a natural-born heavyweight,” he said, “I’m going to show Mike who has more power. I think he’s underestimating me.

“I think everyone else is underestimating me.”

Tyson, who retired from professional boxing in 2005, remains a formidable figure in the sport.

He became the youngest heavyweight champion in 1986 after knocking out Trevor Berbick, according to the New York Post.

His impressive record stands at 50 wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws, with 44 wins by knockout.

Fans are eagerly awaiting this clash of generations.

The anticipation is palpable, with many curious to see if Paul can hold his own against a seasoned veteran like Tyson.

The younger fighter’s bravado has stirred the pot, but he’s no stranger to high-stakes matches.

As the brother of social media star Logan Paul, Jake has built a reputation for defying expectations and taking on formidable opponents.

While Tyson has not personally addressed the incident on social media, his representative assured fans that the boxing legend is in good health and ready for the fight.

“He’s doing great,” the rep reiterated, putting to rest any doubts about his participation in the upcoming bout.

The excitement surrounding the fight has only grown following Tyson’s health scare.

Many see it as a test of both fighters’ resilience and determination.

Tyson’s ability to bounce back from the medical incident and Paul’s unwavering confidence set the stage for a thrilling spectacle.

As the fight date approaches, both fighters are expected to ramp up their training and promotional efforts.

The boxing world is watching closely, eager to see if Paul’s youthful energy and Tyson’s legendary experience will deliver on the hype.

Fans around the world will tune in to witness whether Jake Paul can truly shake the sports world or if Mike Tyson will reaffirm his status as one of boxing’s greatest.

One thing is certain: this fight promises to be one for the ages.
