Broadway’s biggest night is set to sparkle with star power as Angelina Jolie takes centre stage at the Tony Awards 2024.

The 49-year-old A-lister will be the leading name presenting honours on Sunday.

Jolie, renowned for her illustrious film career, now steps into the limelight of the theatre world. She serves as a producer for the musical The Outsiders.

The musical is up for an impressive 12 awards, according to Daily Mail.

Based on the beloved novel, The Outsiders is contending for the coveted Best Musical award.

Jolie’s involvement has brought a significant buzz to the show, making her presence at the Tonys even more anticipated.

“It’s an honour to be part of this extraordinary journey,” Jolie remarked at the opening night of the musical back in April.

She’s not the only big name gracing the stage, according to Deadline.

Other presenters include acclaimed actors Taraji P. Henson, Jennifer Hudson, Jeffrey Wright, Patrick Wilson, and Nick Jonas.

This year’s roster is packed with talent, promising an unforgettable evening.

In addition to Jolie, the line-up of presenters boasts Idina Menzel, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Nate Burleson.

Cynthia Erivo, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Josh Gad, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Sean Hayes will also attend.

Host Ariana DeBose, an Oscar winner for her role in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of West Side Story, will guide the evening’s festivities.

The event promises to be a star-studded celebration of Broadway’s finest, according to Theater Mania.

The Tony nominations, announced in April, have generated great excitement.

Among the top contenders is Hell’s Kitchen, a jukebox musical featuring songs by Alicia Keys.

The show has garnered 13 nominations, the most of any production, and is loosely based on Keys’ life.

“I’m thrilled to see Hell’s Kitchen recognised so extensively,” Keys said in a recent interview.

Competing for Best Musical alongside Hell’s Kitchen and The Outsiders are Suffs, a show about the suffragettes, Illinois, a jukebox musical of Sufjan Stevens’ work, and Water For Elephants, an adaptation of the bestselling novel.

Notable snubs in this category include the Britney Spears show Once Upon A One More Time and the adaptations of classic films Back To The Future, The Notebook, and Days Of Wine And Roses.

Angelina Jolie’s involvement with The Outsiders has been a significant highlight in her diverse career.

As a producer, she has passionately supported the musical adaptation of the classic young adult novel.

She brought her star power and dedication to the project.

Her commitment was evident from the beginning.

She attended the opening night in April and expressed her enthusiasm for the production’s journey.

As Broadway prepares for its most glamorous night, anticipation builds.

With Angelina Jolie leading the charge and a host of talented presenters, the Tony Awards 2024 promises to be a spectacular celebration of theatrical excellence.
