YANGA READY TO RELEASE HER FIRST MUSIC PROJECT

“I decided to record my music now because God was really pressing it on my heart. I live my life according to what God says and he put it in my spirit to go ahead, so it just felt right, she said.

Yanga further stated that being an independent artist presents some challenges, but she enjoys having freedom over her work.

“I felt I had been writing music in my quiet time, where God would sing melodies to me, so I wanted to do it exactly how God wanted me to do it and how God has inspired me to do it without any other person’s opinion or inspiration to go a different direction, so that is why I held some of the music until now.

“I love the part where I can do anything at any time, that it comes at a cost. I just see God coming through for me, through people, resources, sponsorships and friends in the industry. I just know that it’s the right time and God has had my back because I’m not struggling. Yes, it’s not easy, I’m not saying there is no pressure, but I think this journey has just emphasised trusting God,” she added.

YANGA REFLECTS ON OVERCOMING DEPRESSION WHILE CELEBRATING HER 22ND BIRTHDAY

Recall that the artist has recently celebrated her 22nd birthday and reflected on tackling depression and anxiety. Yanga took to Instagram to share her emotions with her followers and expressed gratitude for finally being able to record her gospel album.

“It’s my 22nd birthday. It’s my ‘young adult era’ sana. Man, looking where I came from, I was not supposed to make it. The suicidal attempts, the severe depression and anxiety, the trauma. Hay truly it’s only by God grace shame. Y’all, know I have a recording on July 1 2023 so my wish is for y’all to buy your tickets and help me live my purpose,” she wrote on Instagram.
