Former Isidingo actor Motlatsi Mafatshe who played the role of Sechaba Moloi on the show, has joined the new rags-to-riches soapie House of Zwide.

Fans of the award-winning actor will get to see him tonight when the fashion drama which replaces Rhythm City premieres.

Motlatsi Mafatshe in ‘House of Zwide’

Mafatshe will play the role of a comedic and troublesome uncle called Molefe, according to a Daily Sun.

A delighted Mafatshe told Daily Sun:

Molefe is that uncle we all have in the family, who is always in trouble but we love him so much as he is the glue to the family who shares pearls of wisdom every now and then.

The actor also told the publication that he did a lot of research for the character.

He chilled in the township and engaged with people who are similar to his character before stepping into Molefe’s shoes.

He learned about his character’s habits and how he conducts himself in the township.

MOTLATSI MAFATSHE PRESENTS UNEFA

The actor is currently hosting Mzansi Magic’s new show Unefa which sees lucky and unsuspecting South Africans get an unclaimed inheritance that was left behind by a late family member.

The docu-reality series offers the beneficiaries a financial boost so they can simply live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

The show was created for South Africans who die with inheritance and whose family members miss their blessings and never receive the money.

.He also stated that it hasn’t been easy juggling his acting and hosting gig.

My father died while I was young and we never got our inheritance.

We struggled for long but through God’s grace, we were able to make it.

The show is for me to extend the favour I never got to other people.
