PRINCE HARRY WILL NOT GET ANY EXTRA SECURITY WHEN IN THE UK FOR CORONATION

Since Prince Harry confirmed that he would attend his father’s coronation on 6 May, the Palace and coronation committee are working hard to wrap up the final preparations for the iconic day.

Security arrangements have been a big concern, especially where the Prince is concerned.

Harry lost any protection as part of the Royal Family when he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as royals in 2020, The Sun reports.

According to The Mirror, while attending royal events as part of the coronation, Harry will have security, but he will not be protected when taking part in any other social activities.

“If Harry is as concerned about his safety as he has made clear to the High Court, then he faces the prospect of essentially living under house arrest when he’s in the UK,” Former head of royal protection for the Met Police, Dai Davies, told the publication.

“Of course, he will be protected by (police) officers when attending the main events, but if he fancies doing anything else, then he’ll have to pay for his own security if he is that concerned,” he added.

MEGHAN MARKLE WILL NOT ATTEND KING’S CROWNING EVENT

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently announced that Meghan Markle would skip King Charles’ coronation.

But according to The Mirror, the reason Prince Harry will attend the coronation alone on 6 May, is far more straightforward than many believe.

The publication reports Meghan decided to stay at home as the coronation is on the same date as Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.

Prince and Princess are reportedly too young to attend their grandfather’s crowning.

“I understand that Archie’s fourth birthday (also on May 6) played a factor in the couple’s decision. Expect it to be a fairly quick trip to the UK for Prince Harry, who will only be attending the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey,” Royal editor Omid Scobie tweeted.
