Shortly after the announcement of Prince Philip’s death, world leaders and members of monarchies throughout Europe sent their condolences to the Queen, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

While senior members of the royal family only released the official announcement via the royal family’s official accounts, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2020 – posted a tribute to Philip on their website’s homepage.

It reads, “In loving memory of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Thank you for all your service…you will be greatly missed.”

Will Prince Harry and Meghan return to the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral?

One of the main questions everyone’s asking is whether Meghan and Harry are set to attend Prince Philip’s funeral in the UK. While no plans have been made or shared with the public, a source close to the family told The Daily Mail that Prince Harry will do his utmost to get back to the UK and be with his family even though they are still dealing with the aftermath of Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier in March.

“He will want nothing more than to be there for his family, and particularly his grandmother, during this awful time. Meghan is obviously pregnant so she will need to take advice from her doctors about whether it is safe for her to travel, but I think Harry will definitely go.”

Apart from these sources, the highly-respected Press Association also reported that it’s “likely Harry will be among the small number of mourners” at Prince Philip’s funeral. But, it is still anyone’s guess whether Meghan – who is expecting once more – would join him.

“While Harry is poised to return, it is currently unclear if Meghan will join him even though she reportedly wants to be by his side,” The Sun reports further.
