Hackers clear Maps Maponyane’s business account

South African media personality Masego Maponyane, popularly known as Maps Maponyane reportedly got his business account cleared by hackers.

Maps took to his Instagram stories to announce the sad news.

“In other news, someone got ahold of my back card details and has been shopping up a storm in Dubai making a bunch of transactions and cleaned out what was in my business account,” wrote Maps in an Instagram story.

MAPS TRIED TO CHEER HIMSELF UP

For some silver lining, Maps asserted that he was looking forward to his upcoming birthday as he is set to turn 33 years old on Thursday, 16 March 2023.

“What a beautiful year so far. At least it’s my birthday month and it looks like ill make it to another revolution around the sun (fingers crossed) still excited about life. And these days count for a lot.

“Here’s to still trying to find all the positives even if it gets increasingly difficult by the day. There’s always something to look forward to,” wrote Maps.

MAPS WAS ALSO A VICTIM OF CRIME IN 2021

This is not the first time the media personality and businessman is a victim of crime.

Maps was robbed of a few items at O.R Tambo airport in Johannesburg just when he returned from his trip to Dubai in 2021.

He took to his Twitter account to share his experience.

“My luggage bag got broken into at OR Tambo. What they stole: A pair of shoes, a t-shirt, a bucket hat, and a toothbrush – yes, a toothbrush,” tweeted Maps.

He also went n to joke about how the person may have needed those items for a night out.

“My theory is that man had a date or something and needed all these things to complete his fit and be fresh for it,” he wrote.
