Viola Davis has just secured her spot on the EGOT list, winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award.

American actress and producer, Viola Davis, best known for her role in Shonda Rhimes’ television drama How To Get Away With Murder, has just secured herself the 18th spot on the EGOT list.
This comes after the 57-year-old received a Grammy for voicing the audio version of her best-selling 2022 memoir “Finding Me.”
Making her the third black woman to reach this prestigious status after Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Hudson.

Viola Davis holds many accolades including BET awards, People’s choice awards, and even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but these are the awards that propelled her to EGOT status:
Fellow EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson congratulated Viola Davis on becoming the 18th member of this exclusive club by calling her a “living legend”
In a 7-second clip Hudson posts, Davis shouts that she “just EGOT” followed by loud screaming from the audience.
