Fight Club: Duduzane Zuma joins world of sports and entertainment

Politician Duduzane Zuma has teamed up with UFC star Darren Till to launch their debut venture into sports and entertainment.

Presidential hopeful Duduzane Zuma has launched a “unique and innovative” sports and entertainment company along with England’s mixed martial arts athlete Darren Till aka “The Gorilla”.

According to News24, the company – called Gorilla Fight Club – was launched on Thursday, 18 May, at the Sandton Convention Centre.

DUDUZANE ZUMA AND UFC STAR JOIN FORCES

The purpose of the brand is to invite worldwide stars and captains of industries to go toe to toe in celebrity boxing matches.

“Events will take place in all four corners of the world, ensuring engagement with the widest possible fanbase,” their statement read.

Duduzane – who is the chairman of the Gorilla Fight Club and the son of former South African president, Jacob Zuma – said another purpose of the brand is to achieve rapid growth from a business perspective.

“Our events will take place all over the world, and we can guarantee fight fans attending that they will go away knowing they have witnessed something special on each occasion,” Duduzane said.

“There are no limits to what Gorilla Fight Club can achieve, and we look forward to showcasing our product to fight fans around the world in the near future.”

DARREN TILL ON CHANGING THE FACE OF THE BOXING INDUSTRY

According to IOL, Till who was beaten by South Africa’s UFC middleweight star Dricus du Plessis in the Englishman’s last fight inside the octagon said that the company will change the face of the industry.

“We’re delighted to finally announce the launch of Gorilla Fight Club following months of extensive work which has been going on behind the scenes to shape our long-term vision and strategy.

Gorilla Fight Club is set to hold its inaugural event later this year.
