South African musician Emtee has been trending for all the wrong reasons as of late. From women abuse to drug abuse — his name is followed by bad news. And now he is once again trending after swearing at a Twitter user who claimed that he didn’t have a cent to his name these days.
All of the drama started when someone shared an old photo of the home Emtee reportedly purchased in 2019 but has allegedly vacated for a Midrand flat.

Emtee slams Tweep who accused him of being broke
Just a few weeks ago, Emtee’s wife Nicole Chinsamy accused him of beating her up.
A video of the two arguing while she pointed out her bruises went viral as social media users shared their concerns.

Shortly after the clip made its rounds online, reports revealed that Nicole — who is seven months pregnant — had opened a case against him.
Many worried about the hitmaker whose career appears to have taken a turn for the worse in recent years.
On Sunday last week, a Tweep shared a photo of the home the rapper bought four years ago and captioned it:
“Elevated at his lavish 4.2 million dollar residence, Emtee is living in style and luxury,” he captioned a photo of the rapper outside a stunning property.

After seeing the tweet, a social media user wrote that Emtee couldn’t afford the home these days and barely has R50k in his account.
“He doesn’t even have R50K cash in the bank bathong,” wrote the Tweep.
‘Can’t even afford a gwaai’
This didn’t sit well with the rapper who shared a scathing response:
“Is this the part where I show you my balance? Die broke n rest in piss. U son of a b*tch,” tweeted Emtee.
He also went on to add:
“Imagine getting respect from Supa Mega and then getting disrespected by some unemployed potential phara who can’t even afford gwaai and has 2 followers tellin me I’m broke.
