The eldest son of superstar couple David and Victoria Beckham recently married his long-term girlfriend Nicola Peltz in a lavish ceremony at her family’s mansion.

Speaking only a few days after saying I do, the couple shared how they asked guests not to bring wedding presents but to donate to Ukrainian refugees.

Nicola and Brooklyn use wedding to help Ukraine

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham wed in a lavish ceremony that cost $3.2 million (R286 million).

The posh affair took place at Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson’s $103m (£79m) compound in Palm Beach last Saturday.

Since then, Nicola has taken to Instagram to express her sadness at the war which is currently raging in Ukraine.

According to Nicola, in a bid to help, she and her now-husband Brooklyn asked guests not to bring gifts but rather to make donations toward Ukrainian refugees who have been impacted by the war.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of herself and her father on the day of the wedding and in the caption explained how “devastated” she and Brooklyn are about the war.

She also explained how she and Brooklyn asked guests to donate to CARE International to aid Ukrainians in need.

“My dad spoke about this at our wedding.”

The good cause continues

“Me and Brooklyn are devastated about what is going on in Ukraine and have asked for donations to CareOrg in lieu of wedding gifts. Anything helps,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

The 27-year-old also went on to share a link to her and Brooklyn’s fundraiser where those willing can donate money towards Ukraine.

Just last month, her new in-laws David and Victoria pledged a £1 million donation towards the cause.
