DJ Fresh is back with a new podcast ‘WAW! What A Week’

‘Big Dawg’ is making a comeback in a new podcast, set to reconnect him with his fans after his dramatic exit from Metro FM in 2019.

Podcasting is taking off in South Africa and SA’s media personalities are jumping on this bandwagon without flinching.

DJ Fresh is the latest SA media personality to have jumped on the podcasting trend with his new podcast named WAW! What A Week with DJ Fresh on February 23.

DJ Fresh launches podcast

The former radio host launched his new podcast after fans asked him to do so following his dramatic exit from Metro FM.

The ‘Big Dawg’ as affectionately known in the media and entertainment industry hopes to reconnect with his fans with his new show.

“The well-known DJ F is giving the people what they want. This is following requests for a podcast from his devoted followers, which will also unpack another layer to the DJ. Not only will this podcast reconnect the beloved DJ with his biggest followers, it will also draw in a new audience,” read the statement released on Twitter.

“My love for connecting with audience on various platforms goes beyond sharing information. I firmly believe that being able to impact someone’s life in a positive way is part of our journey. From music to conversation to just being, your words could save someone,” added DJ Fresh in the statement.

Where to catch the podcast?

The podcast will air on Fridays at 15:00 on YouTube. WAW! What a Week podcast will also focus on local and global current affairs with lots of laughter in between, as the deejay wraps up the week with his guests and viewers.

DJ Fresh will discuss the weekly breaking news without “fear or favour” according to the media statement. Viewers were treated to some up-and-close conversations with DJ Sbu, Eugene Khoza, Oskido and Botsang Modimowame Moiloa as the first guests on the day of the podcast launch.
