Football fans are convinced that Royal AM coach John Maduka has been paid to sing the praises of chairman Andile Mpisane, days after his disastrous performance over the weekend.

This, after Maduka suggested that the soccer boss had the “potential” to play in the first team.

Last weekend, Andile made headlines after he threw a “tantrum” after being substituted in a Royal AM Reserves DStv Diski Challenge match against AmaZulu. The 21-year-old was also criticised over his physical appearance, with fans branding him “overweight.”

ROYAL AM COACH PRAISES ANDILE MPISANE

Speaking in a press conference in Umhlanga, Durban, the Royal AM coach claimed that he was, in fact, impressed with Andile Mpisane.

“He’s still a young and talented player,” John Maduka said.

He added: “He’s got the potential; you can’t run away from that. For us to be where we are, we started somewhere. So we give opportunities to everyone who raises their hands and says, ‘I can do that.’

“I strongly believe that he’s one of the players that have the potential, and he’s talented.”
