‘Darling wife’: King Charles’ affectionate name for Camilla revealed
King Charles III makes no secret of the fact that he adores his wife, but his special name for her is just ‘darling.’

A royal photographer has revealed the ‘darling’ special pet name King Charles has for Queen Consort Camilla, Independent reports.

ROYAL PHOTOGRAPHER REVEALS KING’S SPECIAL NAME FOR CAMILLA
During an interview with People, royal photographer Arthur Edwards opened up about King Charles and the Queen Consort’s special bond.
Edwards photographed King Charles III for The Sun since 1977.
He told the publication that the King refers to Camilla as “my darling wife.”
In his new photo book, Behind The Crown: My Life Photographing the Royal Family, Edwards says Camilla “brings out the best” in the King.
He further wrote that the Queen Consort “has such a wonderful sense of fun” and “has brought a spring to Charles’ step,” Independent reports.
On Saturday, 6 May, King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will be crowned at Westminster Abbey in London. The Archbishop of Canterbury will conduct the service.

QUEEN CONSORT TO GET TITLE CHANGE
Over the past few years, and since her marriage to King Charles III, Camilla has played an integral role in the royal family. According to Buckingham Palace, apart from being King Charles’ confidant and stepmother to William and Harry, she’s also the Patron or President of over 90 charities.
Now, the Queen Consort is preparing for her most significant role yet. That of Queen. Although her official title will still be Queen Consort, Camilla will be referred to as Queen Camilla, according to a report by The Sun.
When Charles and Camilla tied the knot in 2005, the title seemed highly unlikely. But, it all changed at the end, it seems.
In a message marking the 70th anniversary of her reign, the late Queen Elizabeth said that it’s her “most sincere wish that, when the time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service,” Time reports..
This was the first time Queen Elizabeth acknowledged Camilla’s role in the monarchy in such a significant way. King Charles thanked his mother for her support, saying:
“We are deeply conscious of the honor represented by my mother’ wish. As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our communities, my darling wife has been my own steadfast support throughout,” Time reports.
The publication explains that the Queen Consort title is given to the king’s wife. Although she married into the royal family, she could never inherit the throne.
