South Africans are taking president Cyril Ramaphosa’s emergency plan to tackle Eskom and load shedding with a grain of salt. However, many social media users – including Coconut Kelz – are not letting him forget one significant detail….

And that is the irony of the country exporting coal to first-world countries, despite being in an energy crisis itself.

The president’s National Energy Crisis Committee (Necom) presented a seven-point strategy to the public on “easing” the crisis on Monday, 16 January.

COCONUT KELZ MOCKS CYRIL RAMAPHOSA, ESKOM AND PROTESTORS

As reported by The South African website, Cyril Ramaphosa cancelled his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to hold crisis talks with power utility Eskom, labour groups and businesses.

But in a satirical skit posted on her social media accounts, Coconut Kelz revealed her disapproval.

She said: “Good news, Ramaphosa is no longer going to Switzerland, so load shedding is solved. Just kidding”.

She added: “Imagine if he actually worked. Don’t you worry, he’s no longer going overseas, but our coal still is”.

Coconut Kelz also had something to say about planned protest action against Eskom and load shedding.

She continued: “I would love to be there, but cant…on account of not going to the CBD. Also, I’m really scared of rubber bullets. My horoscope said I must avoid town and fires.”

A MESSAGE FOR THE MISSING TIGER

Meanwhile, Coconut Kelz also mentioned the missing tiger who has been terrorising Joburg South residents after it escaped its enclosure over the weekend.

She continued: “Whoever took my tiger; Rainbow Nation – that’s his name – please bring him back. And journalists, please stop saying he is from the south- eeuw!”.

Coconut Kelz then revealed her tiger-print blouse and a box of Frosted Flakes featuring a cartoon tiger on it.

She added: “To my boy Rainbow Nation, mommy misses you. I’m wearing your favourite pajamas, and I have your favourite snack.’
