Buckingham Palace is preparing for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to attend King Charles III’s coronation on 6 May, but new reports indicate that the couple isn’t exactly welcome.

According to the Daily Mail, the source said: “They will be given the cold shoulder by very many relatives. One said to me, ‘I hope they’ll be seated in Iceland.'”

“Many of the family just want nothing more to do with them. If they have to see them at the coronation then so be it, but they do not want to socialise with them.”

Whether the Duke and Duchess will attend the royal celebrations has not yet been confirmed.

DUKE AND DUCHESS ARE FACTORED INTO CORONATION PLANNING

Prince Harry and Meghan have yet to formally accept the King’s email invitation to the coronation on 6 May, but the palace is reportedly factoring the couple into the planning.

A source told MailOnline that “Harry and Meghan are being factored into all of the planning. The cars, the seating plans, dining arrangements, everything.”

“The staff are certainly working on the expectation they are coming. These kind of arrangements have to be made well in advance,” the source said.

Harry is still demanding an apology from William and King Charles before he attends the royal coronation. But a royal commentator told MailOnline that there could be serious consequences should the couple decide to skip the coronation.

In an interview with MailOnline, Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said Harry and Meghan “dare not stay away” from the royal coronation, despite their feeling towards the royal family.
