A video of American R&B star Chris Brown rapping to the late South African slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA’s Run Jozi song’s beat, has been doing the rounds on Twitter since it was posted on 12 March and had Tweeps convinced Chris Brown had paid tribute to AKA with a freestyle.

CHRIS BROWN BODIES AKA’S ‘RUN JOZI’ BEAT?

A popular Twitter user had Tweeps fooled after editing a clip of Chris Brown and then having the clip circulate online. Another social media user who had come across the clip was convinced that Chris Brown had really paid tribute to AKA by freestyling to the late slain rapper’s Run Jozi beat.

AKA was shot and killed in plain sight on 10 February outside Wish On Florida in Durban. However, his murder has not been solved.

According to News 24, Minister of police Bheki Cele announced they had retrieved the cellphones of all suspects and shared that there was progress in the case. However, details were to be kept mum for now.

After watching Chris Brown rapping in the edited video, some grieving Tweeps hoped that the clip would give them something to smile about and said if the clip had been true, it would have made AKA so happy.

However, some online users did reveal that Chris Brown was in actual fact rapping over ScHoolboy Q’s beat and that the original rap video was from eight years ago.

Nonetheless, other viewers of the clip were still impressed with the video and shared that they loved every bit of the edited version.
