Springboks star Cheslin Kolbe‘s wife left her Chartered accountant career journey to support her hubby.

Layla Kolbe shared an interesting story on her Instagram reflecting on the Springboks at the World Cup win.

She revealed the details that most fans did not know, and they were all shocked.

She tried so much to avoid making it her own story, but what she sacrificed is enormous.

She had to become a housewife and entirely focus on her husband and children.

Currently, she has three children and is taking good care of them when Kolbe is away.

Sharing on her Instagram, Layla poured out her heart, explaining what the Sprinboks mean to her.

“You’ll have seen this so many times before, Yes, we not the only ones to win the world cup, but it’s been 1 year since, and we all have a story to tell:
I don’t want to make this about me, but here goes: I left my career, in the middle of my articles of fulfilling my own dream of becoming a Chartered accountant. People laughed at me and still do.” she said.

“Yes, I left for rugby. I left to back my husband. I witnessed all his crit, all the Springbok call ups, camps, long tours , but never getting selected. I witnessed all the great seasons, but still no Springbok debut. Because of size. I witnessed how this Man still perseveres and still puts his all on that field every time despite it all. I cant explain what a roller coaster these past few years has been. To just see him be a part of such a phenomenal squad was one of the proudest moments for me.” she continued.

As Kolbe’s wife spoke of quitting her Chartered Accountant career journey, she finished wishing the Springboks well.

“This just brought a little bit of Hope that our country can still be great. I believe. The best is yet to come SOUTH AFRICA. UNITE!!! 🇿🇦” she finished.


Many fans were shocked after the Springbok’s wife Layla spoke of quitting the Chartered account career journey.
