The topic of abortion is a very controversial one especially when it comes to the youth. There are however some very brave celebrities who have opened up about their painful experiences with abortion where they had to deal with unplanned pregnancies at that time.

Mpho wa Badimo opened up on Big Brother 

Mpho wa Badimo whose real name is Michelle Mavundla, was the winner of Big Brother Mzansi .She confessed to her housemates during her time on the show, that she and her then boyfriend when she was younger, decided that she should have an abortion when she fell pregnant. 

She is however now a proud single mother of a young boy whilst expecting another child with then housemate turned boyfriend Themba who is more famously known as Ghost amongst his loyal fans.

Unapologetic Zodwa declared she has faced traumatic abortions in the past

Zodwa Wabantu who is no stranger to controversy revealed in a past episode of her then reality show, Zodwa Wabantu: Uncensored that she has had a maximum of 11 abortions in the past.

This according to IOL was revealed in an encounter that she allegedly had with a traditional healer who notified her that she would have to perform a traditional ceremony for the children that were not carried to full term.

Former Generations actress, Refiloe Seseane opens up about her past abortion

The actress who played the role of Dudu on the much loved soapie, revealed to radio personality Azania on her talk show that her motives as a celebrity who is opening up about her past experiences with abortion was because she wanted to motivate other individuals who are going through the same situation to carefully consider their choices

She did disclose that her mind specifically was made up when she went through the process but that once in a while the unborn child does pass her mind.
