After struggling to find an opponent for a boxing match this year, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest is finally getting into the ring. The Siyathandana hitmaker is going up against controversial YouTuber Slik Talk on Wednesday 22 December. Here’s everything you need to know about the boxing match.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
On Sunday 21 November, Cassper Nyovest took to Twitter to share that he would “no longer” be responding to trolls and challenged Slik Talk to a boxing match after the YouTuber made comments about him in a video.
“Tell him I got R100k for him cash, win or lose. All he has to do is survive three rounds, three minutes with me.”
Slik Talk happily accepted Cassper’s challenge announcing that former music executive Nota Baloyi would be handling all his affairs, but unfortunately for Nota, Slik Talk dropped him.
After a few back and forths, Cassper said the fight was off revealing that Slik Talk wanted a guaranteed R200 000 even if he gets knocked out in the first round. “He wants me to pay and hire security for him and sponsor rights. I was cool with the R100 000 guaranteed and three rounds.”

CASSPER VS SLIK TALK
Cassper took to Instagram on Monday 13 December to announce that the fight is back on. He has officially named the fight: “Fame vs Clout”.
“Not the fight I wanted to start with but at least dude had the balls to back his words up unlike all the guys who ran their mouth and then ran away.”
“I have a little bit of respect for him for taking the fight but I am going to knock him out!”
ALL THE DETAILS
When a fan had some questions about the details for “Fame vs Clout” Cassper mentioned that only a few guests have been invited and it will be streamed online.
“It’s a closed fight, we couldn’t overspend on such a small fight. We wanted to take it Zone 6 but it was way too expensive to build a temporary ring.”
The “Fame vs Clout” boxing match will take place on Wednesday 22 December and will be streamed online for everyone to enjoy.
