‘So AKA is Nyovest’s boss?’: SA reacts to Cassper’s new TV role drama
South African Twitter users seemingly can’t get over the fact that AKA allegedly owns half of ‘The Braai Show’ and will now be Cassper Nyovest’s ‘boss.’

On Monday 9 August this week, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest revealed that he would be hosting a SABC 1 show called The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest. Many South Africans were left super surprised to see that the rapper was replacing his rival and fellow rapper, Kiernan Forbes, better known as AKA. Recent revelations about the show have left many people more surprised than ever.
Cass celebrates big wins
Last month, South African artist Cassper Nyovest shared with his excited fans that he is venturing into television. On Monday this week, the celeb finally revealed that he is now hosting is The Braai Show that was previously hosted by fellow rapper, Kiernan Forbes, who is better known by his stage name, AKA.
The news left many South Africans buzzing as they made jokes about Cass leaving poor AKA in the dust. Not long thereafter, AKA dropped a bomb that has left him trending on South African Twitter streets ever since.

Not long after this, Phil Mphela, a local media personality shared a statement that was allegedly released by AKA’s team regarding Cass’s appointment as the new host. The statement also reveals that AKA is the co-owner and will allegedly be taking legal action.
Of course, South Africans were all over the news and soon both AKA and Cass were trending. Several jokes were also made about AKA now being Cass’s boss. Read some of their hilarious comments about the debacle below:
