The highly-anticipated match between Cassper Nyovest and Naakmusiq has come and gone, so what can we expect next?
The hitmaker – who was defeated by his rap rival at an event called Celeb City in Sun City on Saturday night – asked his followers to suggest new celebrity matches they would like to see take place.
And tweeps came with some pretty wild suggestions!
CASSPER ASKS FANS FOR CELEB MATCHES
Cassper revealed that he already had one celebrity match in mind. He tweeted: “How about Big Zulu and DJ Fresh? That’s a good fight. Send me names”.
But it seems Big Zulu may already have his hands full after being challenged to matches by celebs like Mr Smeg, King Monada, Dr Malinga and Siv Ngesi.
Among the other celebrity matches tweeps would like to see are matches between;
- Cassper vs AKA
- Big Zulu vs Dr Malinga
- Makhadzi vs Babes Wodumo
- Pearl Thusi vs Dineo Ranaka
- Kamo Mpela vs Uncle Waffles
But one of the unlikeliest celebrity pairings was between music producer Mampintsha and One South Africa Movement leader Mmusi Maimane.
The tweep, who suggested the celebrity match, retweeted an old tweet from the politician who once claimed he would like to meet the muso in the ring.
The 2019 tweet read: “If Mampintsha has it in him, I’d challenge him to three rounds in a boxing ring. He must bring it on; violence against women must be condemned. A charge must be opened. It makes me sick”.
The tweep was in no doubt referring to charges of assault brought against Mampintsha by his then-girlfriend Babes Wodumo.
At the time, Mampintsha made headlines after a clip of him assaulting Babes on her Instagram Live went viral. The couple are now married, and share a son; Sponge Wodumo.

SIV NGESI BOXES IN HEELS
Meanwhile Siv Ngesi has had his followers doing a double take, after posting a clip of himself boxing – in heels!
And Siv dared anyone to take him on. He shared in the caption: “Everyone talking about celebrity boxing… I would destroy any celeb even while wearing [heels]”.

The actor – who challenged Big Zulu to take him on in a match over the weekend – is known for his drag persona Sivanna.
