It was unusual for the rapper, Cassper Nyovest, to be less active on Twitter for most of March 2023. He did, however, go back to the blue app to verify that the reason for his absence from the timeline was that he was at the music workshop creating new music, especially Hip-Hop.

It appears that Cassper is now prepared to share the project that he was engaged in during his music workshop.

This follows a recent performance in which he previewed some of the new music he was writing. It is Hip-Hop, as promised, and it appears that Cassper is getting set to drop another Hip-Hop masterpiece.

This comes after excerpts of the song, which is informally named Bashimane Baka, was hailed by Cassper’s supporters as an impending success. This is a plausible emotion given the song’s content, which features Cassper experimenting with isiZulu rhymes while incorporating Kwaito influences into his future single.

It is currently unknown when the single will really be released. Comparisons made to his late music rival AKA is one thing that Cassper won’t have to worry about whether or not the single and future album is going to be successful.

This is because AKA’s final album, Mass Country, is already up for a SAMA nomination, if Cassper nominates his record, it won’t be recognised until the following year.

Is Cassper now less relevant since the passing of AKA?

Many people, including Nota Baloyi, think that Cassper Nyovest would eventually lose relevance now that the Supa Mega is no longer alive.

When asked about Cassper Nyovest’s career after the passing of AKA, Nota Baloyi stated that the star would no longer be relevant.

In some respects, the conflict between AKA and Nyovest preserved South African hip-hop. If the charts weren’t heating up with their rivalry-inspiring tracks, the timelines were surely consuming on their trash tunes.

Nota Baloyi thinks that while the fight was necessary for the game, they finally had to put their differences aside and work together to create some music. Sadly, AKA met his end, therefore this did not occur.
