‘Call Makhadzi a liar, get R80’: The #8millionmakhadzi Twitter campaign

The Makhadzi-Open Mic war has escalated after a ‘Call Makhadzi a liar and get R80 daily’ Twitter campaign went viral on Twitter.

It is alleged on Twitter that Open Mic Productions offers R80 daily if you call Makhadzi a liar, using the in the #8millionmakhadzi hashtag.

This came out the early on Thursday morning after Open Mic released their statement responding to Makhadzi’s over a contractual dispute.

It seemed like a one-way traffic when Makhadzi opened up about her stormy relationship with recording over the past three years.

However, Open Mic is not taking Makhadzi’s accusations lightly and has since given her an ultimatum.

They want her to apologise before 12 May 2023. Otherwise, there will be legal consequences.

With only a few hours to 12 May, Makhadzi has yet to apologise.

After Open Mic’s statement, Twitter users have since opened fire at them, calling the recording company evil.

With many Twitter accounts pushing the #8millionmakhadzi hashtag, some users revealed its purported origin.

Whether or not it is true, fans on Twitter are all over Open Mic. They have demand that the label give Makhadzi all the money they allegedly owe her.

Even though most Twitter users believe that Makhadzi is the victim in this case, some remain sceptical.

They urged Makhadzi to apologise and ensure her house was in order before she got into a legal fight.

THE STORY SO FAR

It all started when Makhadzi shared the news that she was partying ways with Open Mic after a good three years together.

Then Makhadzi claimed that Open Mic auto-renewed her contract according to a specific clause. This did not sit well with her.
