FAMILY RALLIES AROUND BRUCE WILLIS IN SUPPORT POST DEMENTIA DIAGNOSIS

Reports of Demi Moore having moved into Bruce Willis and his wife Emma’s home to help care for the actor have been doing the rounds. But Emma is shutting them down.

Following his dementia diagnosis, The Mirror reported that Moore had moved into the family’s home to help care for the actor.

The publication reports that Moore helps to “ease the pressure felt as his condition worsens” as the actor (67) continues to battle frontotemporal dementia.

According to Radar: “Demi has moved in, and she is not leaving until the very end.”

“Demi has been a rock for the family and is determined to make sure every day Bruce has left on earth will be filled with love,” the source added.

Emma, however, took to Instagram to stop all rumours.

“Let’s nip this one in the bud. This so so dumb. Please stop,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

Emma posted to Instagram earlier this week to help raise awareness of the condition and ask paparazzi to keep their “space” when photographing the actor.

“If you are someone that is looking after someone with dementia, you know how difficult and stressful it can be to get someone out into the world and just to navigate them safely,” Emma said.

“So this one is going out to the photographers and the video people that are trying to get those exclusives of my husband out and about, just keep your space. I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space,” Emma added.

HOLDING HOPE FOR A MIRACLE

A source close to the family told The Mirror they are still hoping for a miracle.
Willis’ eldest daughter with Moore, Rumer, is pregnant with the former couple’s first grandchild.

“He’s determined to stay coherent and lucid for as long as possible so his grandchild can have some happy memories of a grandfather who was present and active in his or her life,” a friend revealed last month. “He’s dead-set that this new baby is going to get the best he has to offer,” another source told Radar.

TheSouthAfrican.com previously reported frontotemporal dementia is an umbrella term for any disease that causes gradual loss of brain tissue in the frontal and temporal lobes – the front and sides of the brain. Although relatively rare, it is one of the most common causes of dementia in people under the age of 65, accounting for around 40% of early-onset cases.

The condition – which goes by other names, such as Pick’s disease, frontal dementia, semantic dementia, and primary progressive aphasia – tends to develop slowly over several years.
