‘That is dirty’: Brittany Murphy’s brother believes sister was murdered

Brittany Murphy died suddenly in 2009, and the Hollywood actress’ brother Tony Bertolotti is not convinced that his sister succumbed to pneumonia, anaemia and drug intoxication to prescription pills as indicated in the autopsy 13 years ago. Murphy was found dead on the bathroom floor of her Hollywood Hills.

WHO HAD CONTROL OVER MURPHY’S ESTATE?

Bertolotti said that his mother Sharon who lived with Murphy and her husband at the time of the star’s passing, had laid low after her daughter’s death. He also said his mother never revealed where his sister’s’ $10 million (R173 million) fortune went.

When the actress passed away, her husband had been written out of her will and all her estate was handed to the star’s mother. Speaking to IOL, the grieving brother added that three people had control of her estate, her mother, a newspaper editor and a doctor she was treated by.

Bertolotti wonders why his sister was not taken to a hospital when her health deteriorated.

“What, are you kidding me? All she had to do is go five blocks away, and they’d take care of her in the hospital,” he said according to the report.

BRITTANY MURPHY’S HUSBAND DIED IN THE SAME MANNER HIS WIFE DID

Murphy’s Hollywood producer husband was also found dead, and his autopsy revealed that he also died the exact same his wife did. His lifeless body was discovered just five months after Brittany’s death.

Shortly before he died, during an interview with People Magazine, the grieving husband said, “I had a life I never dreamed. I have seen sun set on five continents. I’d trade it all for one more day with Brittany.”

Murphy’s brother is said to not be the only one from the family who suspected the Girl Interrupted star’s death was not due to natural causes. His father died in 2019 at the age of 92, after spending years trying to uncover what happened to his daughter.

Bertolotti’s faith is lost and he doubts that the truth will ever come out about what actually happened to the actress. He said he only wanted to know what happened to his sister.

“It has nothing to do with money…I would never go near that money. Forget it. That’s dirty,” IOL quoted Bertolotti saying.
