Pop singer Britney Spears’ family should be worried – if she ever does a sit-down interview. In a lengthy Instagram post, Spears implies that she might just spill the dirt on some of them.

It comes as her father, 69-year-old Jamie Spears, was removed as the conservator of her estate after more than 13 years.

“Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview!!!,” she said on the image-sharing social media app.

Apart from her sister Jamie-Lynne Spears, her entire family made money off the star. Her mother Lynne Spears earned a reported $150 000 a year from Britney’s estate towards the cost of her mansion in Louisiana, while her father earned $16 000 a month as her conservator.

In the same Instagram post, Britney Spears says she will not be hitting the stage any time soon. The Hit Me Baby One More Time hitmaker also admits navigating her newfound freedom hasn’t been so easy for her.

“For so many years I was always told if I succeeded at things, it could end, and it never did!!! I worked so hard but now that it’s here and getting closer and closer to ending I’m very happy but there’s a lot of things that scare me,” Spears said.

She also criticised the US justice system for how she has been treated during her conservatorship, which Spears maintains has been an abusive one.

“So, like I said, I’m fearful of doing something wrong — so I won’t be posting as much in a world where it’s our liberty to be free, it’s a shame! I started experiencing that when I got the keys to my car for the first time 4 months ago — and it’s been 13 years!”
