Convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester and his love interest Dr Nandipha Magudumana booked an eleven-night stay at the Southern Sun Hotel in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, last month.

This is according to eNCA journalist Silindelo Masikane who shared images of Magudumana’s white Porsche she reportedly used with Bester — dubbed the “Facebook rapist”.

Pictures of Magudumana’s vehicle have been doing the rounds on social media. In one picture, the celebrity doctor is pictured with her luxury car the day she acquired it on August 2020.

A second picture shows the couple’s hotel reservation, revealing that they checked in on 5 March for eleven nights — with Bester using one of his many pseudonyms, Katlego Nkwana. The reservation also shows that the couple checked in with two children. Dr Nandipha shares two girls with her ex-husband Dr Mkhuseli “Mac” Magudumana.

DR NANDIPHA’S FATHER CHARGED WITH MURDER

On Tuesday, Sekeleni, 65, and former G4S employee, 39-year-old Senohe Matsoara appeared at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on charges of arson for the fire in Bester’s cell, defeating the administration of justice, and fraud.

In addition, the pair were charged with the murder of the unknown man initially believed to be Bester, whose charred body was found in his prison cell.

Bester escaped from the Mangaung maximum security prison, run by security company G4S, on 3 May last year, after faking his death in a fire.

Sekeleni and Matsoara will appear again in the same court on 17 April for their bail application proceedings.

THE ARRESTS

On 7 April, Bester and Magudumana were arrested in Tanzania, about 10km from the Kenyan border.

According to City Press, Bester had assumed an American identity, calling himself Tommy William Kelly. Meanwhile, his celebrity doctor partner called herself Martha Patience Mmerika Nitshini. It later emerged that Magudumana had allegedly stolen anaesthesiologist Dr Pashy’s passport and tweaked her name a bit. Dr Pashy’s real name is Mmereka Patience Martha Ntshani.
