Jub Jub has been called out for his “disrespecting” comments to fellow South African singer Samthing Soweto.

The Uyajola 9/9 presenter issued a public apology to ex-girlfriend Amanda du Pont after widespread backlash following his appearance on Podcast and Chill last week.

This after she accused him of raping her throughout their three year relationship.

But tweeps demanded that he also take accountability for his controversial interview which took aim at a number of celebs including Samthing Soweto, Jaziel Brothers, Lerato Kganyago and Kelly Khumalo.

JUB JUB AND SAMTHING SOWETO BEEF

In his interview with MacG on Podcast and Chill last week, Jub Jub reflected on how his hit song Ndikhokhele came about

The 2020 song features the likes of industry greats Rebecca Malope, Mlindo The vocalist, Nathi, Benjamin Dube, Blaq Diamond, Judith Sephuma and Lebo Sekgobela. Jub Jub revealed that proceeds from the gospel track would go to the families of the victims affected by his 2010 car crash that killed four schoolchildren.

But one person fans claimed was missing from Ndikhokhele was singer Samthing Soweto, who the star claimed “turned down” the opportunity to feature on his track.

The Moja Love presenter took aim at his nemesis, mocking him as a “superstar that sings like a harlot”. He added: “I’ve been in the game longer than him. Then the likes of Samthing Soweto arrive that sing like Prince, then they do the things they do.

“It’s f***ed up, its a bad attitude. What they did is wrong”.

Samthing Soweto has also released his own rendition of Ndikhokhele.

The star also slammed artists Jaziel brothers, claiming “They acted like superstars”.

‘IMMATURITY AND ENTITLEMENT

Meanwhile Jub Jub’s apology to Amanda du Pont has been met with hostility from fans who demand he apologise to insulting Samthing Soweto

“What about Samthing Soweto? What you said about him was not nice, not funny either”

“All these comments portrayed arrogance and disrespect for human kind. I wonder what you have against Something Soweto, you could not respect the fact that it was within his right to say no”

“We’ve all been rejected by people we hoped to create magic with before but moved on. You saying they’re worthless after rejecting you, shows immaturity & entitlement”

Twitter

Otherse demanded he apologise to Kelly, Masechaba and even DJ Sbu, who hit back at the singer’s interview with MacG.

“Where is Kelly’s apology ? You disrespected the mother of your son and you think that’s cool, you need to do better”

“You forgot to apologize to Masechaba for raping her”

“Why aren’t you apologizing to dj Sbu for calling him gay?”
