South African musician YoungstaCPT is one of many local artists to express their concern over the progress of the investigation into late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. The musician, who held a memorial in Cape Town for AKA shortly after his passing, has taken to Twitter to point out that there should have been some progress made regarding AKA’s murder.

The 35-year-old was killed outside Wish Restaurant in Durban on 10 February this year where he had been dining with industry friends before a performance at Yugo Nightclub.

YoungstaCPT outraged by lack of progress in AKA’s murder case

Cape Town-based rapper Youngsta CPT — real name Riyadh Roberts — has been severely impacted by the death of fellow musician AKA who was assassinated in Durban almost two months ago.

Taking to social media repeatedly, Youngsta criticised Durban and Johannesburg law enforcement, saying that they are not doing enough to pinpoint the people behind the murder.

According to Youngsta, if AKA had been killed in Cape Town, someone would have been behind bars by now.

“I shouldn’t be the most upset about Kiernan dying! Where’s his close brasse? Where’s the team? Where’s the associates? Where’s the law? Come now ouens, open your bek & DALA WHAT YOU MUST!” he wrote.
