‘Alpha female’ Bonang Matheba received a frosty welcome by stars like Khanyi Mbau and Nadia Nakai on Young, Famous and African.

Bonang Matheba may be one of South Africa’s most loved celebrities, but that love was certainly not shown by the cast of Young, Famous, and African. In fact, the media personality even received a frosty welcome from fellow stars like Nadia Nakai and Khanyi Mbau.
The highly-anticipated second season of the Netflix reality show was released on Friday, 19 May.

BONANG MAKES AN ENTRANCE…
In episode one, Bonang Matheba makes her grand entrance at a dinner party hosted by Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.
The star is brought into the tight-knit circle by Nigerian socialite and fashion designer Swanky Jerry.
In the scene, Bonang – who has her own reality show Being Bonang – wears a gorgeous green gown with diamond accessories.
At the party is Diamond’s baby mama Zari Hassan, and their friends Khanyi Mbau, Nadia Nakai, Naked DJ and his girlfriend, Kayleigh Schwark
Franky is joined by Andile Ncube and their friend Annie Idibia.

Describing herself as an “ all-round bad- a** Tswana girl,” Bonang adds: “I’m very stubborn, I’m very selfish, Im very self-centered. Most people call me bossy, very mean, and quite intimidating.
“The kind of success I’ve amassed comes with discipline, so I’m “quite an alpha female.
She added of her expectations on her debut: “A lot of tension. I am quite a big personality. But a lot of people are going to feel surprised, probably shocked.”

NO LOVE FROM KHANYI MBAU AND NADIA NAKAI
As soon as Bonang enters the party, Nadia Nakai and pal Khanyi Mbau make a quick exit.
She said in a confessional: “I feel very awkward. Because just how people welcome me, I think that was very cold.”
Nadia and Khanyi later confess to having beef with Queen B.
Nadia – who at the time was dating AKA, Bonang’s ex – says of their history: “I think I was more heartbroken, cause I really felt like she was my sis. You know things happen in a relationship. You fall out, and that’s ok”.
She added: “We haven’t spoken since we had the issues.”
Khanyi adds: “Me and Bonang arent friends. It’s literally industry. I’ve never quite understood her.”
