American singer Ari Lennox slammed South African podcaster MacG on Twitter after he asked her an intimate question on an episode of Podcast And Chill on 18 January.
THE DRAMA BETWEEN ARI LENNOX AND MACG
Ari Lennox did an interview with the controversial MacG on 18 January. As expected, the pair trended on Twitter after the interview for all the wrong reasons. This was because MacG asked Ari an intimate question which she did not take well.
“Is somebody f****** you good right now?,” asked MacG.
The singer later slammed MacG on Twitter and said she would not be doing interviews anymore.

1. HER REAL NAME IS COURTNEY
Ari Lennox’s birth name is Courtney Shanade Salter. Her stage name was inspired by Mary Lennox – a character from the film adaptation of The Secret Garden.
2. ARI IS 30 YEARS OLD
The singer was born on 26 March 1991 which makes her 30 years old.
3. SHE IS SIGNED TO J COLE’S RECORD LABEL
Ari signed to J Cole’s record label Dreamville in December 2015 after releasing her music on the internet in 2012. The singer admitted to thinking J Cole would not be keen to sign her at first.
“I didn’t really think Cole was into me. He was cool, but he was talking about Earthgang the whole time. Earthgang is probably one of the most brilliant groups out, so I was definitely honored to be learning about them through Cole, but I was jealous. I was like, ‘Damn, he loves them! I wish he’d love me like that! Damn the shade.’ But it wasn’t like that at all. Cole is just hard to read sometimes,” she said to Billboard.
4. SHE USED TO DISSECT FLIES AS A CHILD
Ari confessed that she would cut off the legs of flies when she was a child, in an interview with BuzzFeed.
“When I was little, whenever there was a fly in the house, I would catch them and take their legs off. I can’t front, it was relaxing for me. I don’t know…back in the day when I was a little weird child, I liked when the flies would land on me. It felt nice on my skin. But I would end up catching them and taking their legs off,” she said.

Ari also told BuzzFeed that the first app she checks in the morning is Instagram.
