DJ Sbu has heaped praise on convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester for running a business from his prison cell.

Thabo Bester is considered a wanted man and is even hailed as a danger to society, particularly women. But that has stopped musician and media personality DJ Sbu from praising the convicted murderer, rapist, and fraudster for his savvy business skills.
Sbu – whose full name is Sbusiso Leope – lauded Bester for running a multimillion-rand company from his Magaung Correctional Centre cell.
Bester would go on to escape the prison and fake his own death. He is now allegedly in hiding.

DJ SBU DESCRIBES THABO BESTER AS A ‘KING’
Speaking to Penuel Mlotshwa on the Virtual Mkhukhu podcast, which is run by The Hustler’s Corner, DJ Sbu touched on some of the accusations against Thabo Bester.
In reports by GroundUp, Bester posed as the chairman of a multi-million rand company he called “21st Century Media”. Bester – who ran the business from jail – convinced the public that he was related to Patrice Motsepe and that he lived in New York.

But instead of condemning the criminal activity, DJ Sbu heaped praise on the now fugitive.
He said: “He was hosting seminars from jail, on Zoom….he’s a king! That’s dope! I wouldn’t say he is a notorious criminal”.
When Penuel told Sbu that Bester was scamming and stealing the public’s money, the latter responded: “How do you know? If your home is the prison, what’s wrong [with that]?”

TWEEPS ARE NOT HAPPY
As expected, DJ Sbu’s words did not go down well with South Africans, who lashed out at the celeb’s callous comments.
