The star revealed the news in a video clip and stated that radio just didn’t want to let go of her.

“It seems like this radio thing doesn’t want to let me go.”

“Because from the 1st of March you know what I’m going to be doing?”

“I’m gonna be driving you home, 3 to 6 drive time, 1st of March, I’ll see you there,” she said in the video.

Fans and followers of Nkayi congratulated her in the comment sections on the status.

This comes after Nkayi got fired by Kaya 959 in November 2021.

KAYA 959 CONFIRMS HER DISMISSAL

Kaya 959 confirmed that Nkayi’s contract was being terminated with immediate effect.

“Nkayi’s contract has ended prematurely due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward.”

“Kaya 959 can confirm that certain incidents occurred, which resulted in the breakdown of the trust relationship between the two parties.”

“The business can further confirm that due process was followed and the decision was therefore made to part ways with Nkayi.”

A source from the station revealed to City Press that she was dismissed due to her verbal feud with her then-colleague Sizwe Dhlomo.

The two were allegedly involved in a verbal feud which led to Unathi laying a formal complaint with Kaya’s Human Resource department.

Nkayi accused Dhlomo of being verbally abusive and showed unprofessional conduct by not being on time for his show.

The source added that she was going to make an example of him and was swearing at him in isiXhosa during their feud.
