It hasn’t even been a full week since Unathi’s departure from Kaya FM and locals are already looking for her replacement. It seems like they’ve made up their minds. Many tweeps have decided that former Metro FM DJ Pearl Modiadie is the one for the job.
Fans call for Pearl Modiadie to take over Unathi’s Kaya FM job
Earlier this week, Kaya FM shared a statement that confirmed the termination of Unathi Nkayi’s contract with the station. According to the statement, there was some conduct which “rendered the relationship intolerable going forward.”
Only a few days after the statement was released, some locals are already scouting for Unathi’s replacement. It seems like they have already found a replacement – Pearl Modiadie.

The former Metro FM host recently headed to her Twitter page to gush over how nice being a housewife is when fans started suggesting she take over Unathi’s Midday Joy show.
“Living my best housewife life this morning :)Had a body treatment first thing & now I’m having breakfast at Tasha’s. And reality will kick in in the next hour though because I actually have a V/O to record.
And a self-tape audition to submit, but right now, I’m basking in it!” read her tweet.

Unathi seems to be taking the fact that she just got fired in her stride. The Idols SA judge took to her Instagram page to share an exciting snippet of a new song.
The song features Prince Kaybee and appears to be a big hit already.
