Tyra Banks is known as one of the first black supermodels. However she is also known for her cruel dictator-style role in her reality TV show America’s Next Top Model (ANTM).
Every so often a clip from the show, which first aired in 2003, goes viral for one of it’s cringe-worthy scenes. And not surprisingly, they all involve self proclaimed feminist and anti-bullying activist Tyra Banks!
This week, the Twitter timeline witnessed another horrifying clip from the show, which aims to catapult one aspiring model into superstardom.
In it, Tyra is seen deciding between two contestants to send home. And the end-result is shocking!
TWEEPS REACT TO VIRAL ANTM SCENE
In the viral clip, which one tweep claimed is reminiscent of a “psychological thriller”, Tyra is seen and heard laying on the compliments to finalist Joslyn Pennywell.
But what follows is utterly devastating. In a move no-one saw coming, Tyra then decides to send Joslyn home, adding: “You’ll be able to survive this”.

ANOTHER ANTM CONTESTANT SLAMS TYRA
Meanwhile another former ANTM alum has put Tyra Banks on blast for her treatment towards her on the show.
Following allegations of exploitation by other former contestants, Lisa D’Amato of season five came out to call for the former supermodel to be “cancelled”.
In a series of TikTok videos, Lisa – who won the ANTM All Star series – went on to share her traumatic experience on the show. Allegations against Tyra and the ANTM producers include gaslighting, “weaponising trauma” and even locking her in a closet.
Lisa – who claims the show manipulated let into talking about her childhood trauma, without her consent. She also calls Tyra the “queen of abuse” and claims she had to undergo a decade of therapy after her stint on the show.
