THE COMEDIAN LEAVES ‘THE DAILY SHOW’

The Netflix stand-up special comes after Noah announced that he will be leaving The Daily Show after a seven-year-run. He made the surprise announcement on 29 September.

“I remember when we first started… so many people didn’t believe in us. [Appointing me as host] was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African. I just [find] myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected,” he said.

“I’ve loved hosting this show. It’s been one of my greatest challenges. It’s been one of my greatest joys. I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly shitty on the worst days,” he said.

Noah’s last day on the show is 8 December.
