‘I DIDN’T KNOW’

Travis Scott reiterated that his stance that he “didn’t know” what was happening in the crowd at his Astroworld concert until minutes before a press conference.

In videos circulating on social media, Travis Scott is seen performing on stage. This despite pleas and screams from the crowd to stop the show.

After the show, Travis reportedly went to an after-party with fellow rapper Drake.

He said of the events: “It wasn’t really until like minutes until the press conference until I figured out exactly what happened. Even after the show, you’re just kind of hearing things, but I didn’t know the exact details”.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

I can take stepping up to figure out what the problem is. …stepping into figuring out the solution [so it] never happens again, ’cause that’s what I genuinely wanna do in general.”

He added: “Fans come to the show to have a good experience, and I have a responsibility to figure out what happened here, I have a responsibility to figure out the solution…Whatever the problem is, to figure out that, and then in the future and moving forward and concert safety, make sure this never happens again.”

He said: “I’ve been on different types of emotions, an emotional rollercoaster. It gets so hard because, you know, I always feel connected with my fans. I went through something and I feel like fans went through something and people’s parents went through something”
