Days after telling members and supporters of the EFF to screw themselves amid their National Shutdown strike, singer and actor Stoan Seate has had a change of heart.

But social media users are ripping his “apology” apart…

STOAN REFLECTS ON EFF TWEETS

Earlier this week, Stoan Seate became a trending Twitter topic after he tweeted: “F**k EFF.” Following his expletive message to the Red Berets, the former Bongo Maffin hitmaker was dragged for filth over his political views.

But despite initially claiming he was “unbothered”, Stoan has done a U-turn and seemingly apologised for his views.

He shared in a Twitter statement: “After a lot of introspection and reflection, I’ve realised that my words cut deep. And words do matter.

He continued: “I love my country and my people deeply, and I understand that some of my family, associates, and countrymen are EFF members and voters.

Stoan Seate then seemingly backtracked on apologising for his actions. He continued: “Our country needs unity, not all this division. We are facing a common enemy, and if we are at each others throats, we will all lose..

He added: “I still don’t agree with some of the doctrine, methods, and tactics used by the party. And I will continue to express myself as a free man”.

Stoan then promised to delete his offensive tweets.

TWEEPS NOT IMPRESSED WITH ‘APOLOGY’

Meanwhile, Twitter users have rejected Stoan’s “apology,” which they claim is just an excuse to regain favour amongst fans.
