Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr has gushed over his wife of 9 years, Janine van der Vyver.

Steve Hofmeyr’s relationship history is as colourful and controversial as his public statements. But the Afrikaans singer claims he has turned a page, thanks to his wife, Janine van der Vyver.
The couple allegedly began their romance as an extramarital affair and have been married for almost a decade.
But with a string of romances in his past, the 58-year-old father-of-six is now a one-woman man.

STEVE HOFMEYR GUSHES OVER JANINE
In a Mother’s Day post, Steve Hofmeyr praised his wife, Janine, the mother of his youngest child.
He posted on Facebook: “Thank you for the precious mom that you are, Janine. I look at you and know there is NOTHING that can take my attention away from you”.

Ironically, Steve shunned Natasha Sutherland, his ex-wife, and mother of his two sons. He also blue-ticked the other women he shares three more children with.
According to You Magazine, Steve embarked on an illicit and long-term affair with Janine while he was still married to Natasha.
The singer wed Janine in 2014. At the time, Janine revealed that they had been dating for a decade.
ROCKY ROMANCE WITH MISTRESS
While Steve may have a legion of female admirers, he is a happily married man.
In 1998, Steve Hofmeyr married actress Natasha Sutherland. The couple shares two sons together; Sebastian and Benjamin. But it was far from a “happily-ever-after” for the couple, who split in 2008 amid rumours that Steve was having multiple affairs.
And Steve was clearly revelling in all the attention. He told Rapport in 2009: “I sang this week in Sasolburg and there were 600 girls wanting to bed me and squeezing my bum”. In 2009, he confessed to having an affair with another woman, reports News24.
After being dumped by Natasha, Steve Hofmeyr infamously threw a cup of tea in the face of Huisgenoot editor Esmare Weideman at the Miss South Africa crowning. According to News24, Steve blamed the publications for “ruining” his marriage.
The singer wed rumoured mistress Janine van der Vyver in 2014, but not before a rollercoaster romance.
Before his split from Natasha, Janine put Steve Hofmeyr on blast in a scathing open letter, claims Rapport. In it, she claims that the singer promised her a house and an engagement ring during their affair. She also claims she had an abortion as Steve refused to take responsibility for his actions.
Taking it a step further, Janine sued Steve for breach of contract.
Clapping back, Steve accused Janine of having a “pathological obsession” with him. He counter-sued her, allegedly for defamation of character.
In a blog post later that year, Steve addressed the scandal. He wrote: “My private weaknesses are clearly great fun, but apart from the fact that I fell in love with someone else and have to explain that to Natasha (Sutherland, his wife), I owe you nothing.
“If you regarded me as a moral giant before, you deserve your stupidity surplus.”
In 2011, Steve and Janine – who had then rekindled their romance – withdrew their lawsuits against each other.
