Halala! Springbok’s Faf de Klerk married Miné van Niekerk
Springbok’s Faf de Klerk is officially off the market, as he married long-time girlfriend Miné van Niekerk at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek.

South African rugby player Faf de Klerk and the love of his life Miné van Niekerk have officially tied the knot at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek on Saturday 1 October.
FAF DE KLERK MARRIES FIANCEE MINE VAN NIEKERK
Faf de Klerk married his fiancée Miné van Niekerk at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek on Saturday 1 October. The pair have been together for a total of six years.
The pair met through mutual friends back in 2015 and Miné reportedly invited him to a wedding thereafter. Their love grew over the years. Faf proposed to Miné in May this year.

While the pair haven’t shared official photos of themselves from their big day, others have.

. Faf’s Springbok’s team mates Steven Kitshoff, Vincent Koch and Miné’s brothers were the rugby player’s groomsmen. While other players include Willie Le Roux, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Lukhanyo Am, Jesse Kriel, Frans Malherbe, Damian de Allende attended the couple’s wedding.
According to The Citizen, Miné’s wedding gown was designed by Cape Town fashion designer Lenalisa. Faf on the other hand, rocked a three-piece suit from The Tux Tailor. Miné’s shared a selfie of the pair showing off their rings. Take a look…

LONG DISTANCE ALMOST TORE THE PAIR APART
The pair had some trouble in their relationship due to long distance. Faf, who plays as a scrum-half for English Premiership club Sale Sharks, was living in Manchester since 2017.
Miné is South Africa bound. She works as a pharmacist at her father’s pharmacy in Postmasburg, a town in the Northern Cape. The distance between them resulted in an agreement to just be friends.
“We are so good when we are together, but the long distance makes it difficult,” said Miné to Husigenoot.
The pair saw each other for the first time in over a year in 2021 when Faf returned to South Africa to play for the Springboks during the British and Irish Lions tour. The tour changed everything for the pair. This was because Faf phoned Miné to find out which of her things he had to bring back and it was as if they had never been apart.
She then joined him while he was isolating at a hotel in Cape Town and they realised they were better together. Mine took to Instagram to declare that they were back together in October 2021.
