Controversial podcast host MacG calls out Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung for having a televised wedding but asking for privacy when things get rocky in the latest YouTube episode of Podcast and Chill on Monday 9 August.

In the latest episode of Podcast and Chill, MacG — along with his co-hosts Sol Phenduka and The Ghost Lady — discussed the abuse allegations actor Mohale Motaung made against his estranged husband and media personality Somizi Mhlongo.

Mohale accused Somizi of physically abusing him, sabotaging his professional relationships and more in leaked audio clips between the Rockville actor and the producers of Living The Dream With Somizi. Both Mohale and Somizi’s responded to the leaked clips by asking for privacy.

This did not sit well with MacG who expressed he hates it when celebrities go public with their love for money-making purposes, but when things take a turn for the ugly, they automatically want privacy.

“I f****** hate celebrities when they say ‘please respect our privacy’, dude you married on TV, you had this n***** everywhere you at, every show, they even like had a reality show, now it must be private?,” said Mac G

“I hate it when people, like celebrities, do the whole public thing to make money and when s*** hits the fan its like respect our privacy,” he continued.

Well MacG had a point. Somizi and Mohale had a fairytale white wedding in 2020 which was available for streaming on Showmax in a four-part series, titled Somizi and Mohale: The Union.

Somhale flashed their soft-life luxuries by requesting guests to wear Christian Louboutin red bottom shoes to their wedding, which range between R10 000 to R87 000 in price, along with white outfits for a “touch of finesse”.

Somizi posted a video on Instagram of his three pairs of expensive shoes for his three outfit changes at his wedding.

Guests surprisingly obliged, with Somizi’s best friend Vusi Nova showing up in rhinestone Louboutins. Bonang Matheba, Pearl Thusi, Lerato Kganyago, Cassper Nyovest, Khanyi Mbau and Thando Thabethe were just some of the guests in attendance. PS: Will Mohale get to keep his Louboutins?!

Tweeps thought the Louboutin request was ridiculous and some took to the comments section to joke about it.

Ironically, it seems Somizi may have been kicked to the curb by Bathu sneakers who have decided to distance themselves from the media personality amid the abuse allegations made against him.

This was not the only expensive request Somhale made to their guests. The former couple also set up a gift registry with luxury kitchenware brand Le Creuset, where prices ranged from R195 for a meat thermometer to R7 350 for a casserole pot.

With a wedding that lavish and over-the-top, Somizi and Mohale are now requesting a private divorce? Unlikely.
