Connie Ferguson took to her social media account yesterday to share her late husband Shona Ferguson’s last birthday message to her in May 2021 before he passed away in July 2021.
This is her first birthday without her husband, Shona who died at the age of 47 years from COVID-19-related complications at Milpark Hospital.
CONNIE FERGUSON: ‘EVERLASTING BIRTHDAY WISHES’
The Queen actress and co-producer Connie Ferguson thanked her late husband Shona for the “everlasting birthday wishes” in an Instagram post on her 52nd birthday.
In the video taken on her last birthday Connie captions the post:
“Your spirit lives forever SHO. Thank you for the everlasting birthday wishes. I love you for eternity!”
Her late husband is heard telling her that while he knows that the actress is not “celebrated enough,” she is the “most amazing” being in his life, adding that she is his partner, best friend, and soul mate.
“Your happiness is my number one priority.”
The couple is also heard saying “it is happy tears” which has made tweeps shed tears for Connie.
Mzansi reacted to the video with many stating they loved the way he loved his wife loudly and proudly and the way he shared the message in the presence of their children, Lesedi and Alicia, and their grandson Ronewa.
The couple’s youngest daughter Alicia also turned 20 earlier this week and thanked her mother for being their “biggest pillar of strength.”
