Twitter users are heartbroken following the death of former Rhythm City star Jamie Bartlett on Monday 23 May. 

RIP JAMIE BARLETT

Jamie Barlett was most popular for playing the role of villain David Genaro on e.tv’s Rhythm City.  The actor played the role of David Genaro for over a decade before his exit in January 2020. The family of the actor confirmed his death to eNCA but his cause of death is yet to be revealed. 

Barlett studied speech and drama at the University of Cape Town (UCT). His first major role was in the US film American Ninja 2. 

55-year-old Bartlett was dating 28-year-old Rosa Onius.

He was previously married to actress Camilla Waldman who he shares a son with. Camilla played the role of Anne De Villiers on SABC 1’s Generations.
