‘What do we base this on?’: Prince Kaybee on claims he’s ‘fallen off’

South African DJ Kabelo Motsamai, popularly known as Prince Kaybee took to Twitter to question what it meant for an artist to “fall off”, on Monday 27 December. 

PRINCE KAYBEE: ‘WHAT DO WE BASE THIS ON?’

Prince Kaybee has been under public scrutiny this year for his personal life and music. The DJ addressed rumours that he has “fallen off” with a question about relevance in the music industry. Prince Kaybee asked whether the requirements for “falling off” was judged by new music.

“Ola, quick question and I mean well. How do you judge if an artist has ‘fallen off’, because if it’s solely based on music that means anyone that doesn’t have a current song that has Majority Consumption has fallen off, what do we base this on?” he tweeted.

THE CHEATING AND NUDES SCANDAL

Aside from many speculating that the DJ “fell off”, his personal life was also under scrutiny this year. The Club Controller hitmaker topped the Twitter trends list in May. This was because his “side chick” came forward with “receipts” of his cheating. DJ Hazel Mahazard then leaked the DJ’s nudes on Twitter. 

Prince Kaybee was cancelled but alls well that ends well because he seemed to have been forgiven. He and his girlfriend Zola Ayabulela Mhlongo, popularly known as ZolaZeelovin are still together. The pair welcomed their first child together in
